This is a partner Early Years Centre (EYC) on the MOE Kindergarten route. The pathway has two separate steps: an eligible child enrolled here by the N2 deadline may be offered a K1 place at its partner MOE Kindergarten, and attending that MK then gives Phase 2A eligibility at the host primary school. Neither step is an automatic guarantee of a primary-school place.

Enrolling at this EYC does not directly guarantee admission to the host primary school. It may first give an eligible child a pathway into a partner MOE Kindergarten. Attending that MK then provides Phase 2A eligibility at the MK's host primary school, which is priority to register earlier, not a guaranteed place.

These change over time and are held on official registries, so here are the live sources for My First Skool @ 659A Punggol East. Search by its postal code S821659 to open this exact centre.

A note on accuracy: one address can hold more than one registered centre (an Early Years centre and a full childcare centre), and a centre's ECDA-registered name can differ from MOE's listing. Searching by the postal code above opens the correct record.

Who qualifies for the partner-MK route

The MK offer is not automatic. To be offered a K1 place at a partner MK through this EYC, all of the following must hold:

  • The child is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • The child is enrolled at this partner EYC by 15 March of the N2 year.
  • The parent registers through the EYC route during the MK Registration Exercise for the relevant K1 admission year.

Meeting these conditions leads to a K1 place at the partner MK; it does not by itself decide the primary-school outcome later.

How to move from this EYC to a partner MK

  1. Confirm your child is enrolled at this EYC by the N2 deadline (15 March of the N2 year).
  2. Get the EYC registration instructions from the centre.
  3. Review the partner MK shown above.
  4. Submit the EYC registration form during the MK Registration Exercise.
  5. Receive the outcome, then accept the MK offer by the stated deadline.
  6. Apply separately for KCare if you need full-day care (see below).

Registration dates change each intake. For 2027 K1 admission, EYC and Open Admissions registration ran 23–31 March 2026, with outcomes by 1 June 2026. Always confirm the current cycle's dates on MOE's official page before acting.

Full-day care after N2

Care changes when a child moves from the EYC to the MK. The MK runs a four-hour K1/K2 programme, so families needing full-day care use KCare, currently available at all MOE Kindergartens. KCare is registered separately and has its own hours and fees, so check the arrangement and capacity for the specific MK outlet.

Common questions

Is this centre an official partner EYC? +

Yes. My First Skool @ 659A Punggol East is on MOE's official list of MOE Kindergarten partner Early Years Centres. Partner lists can change, so confirm on MOE's MK-EYC page before you rely on it.

Which MOE Kindergarten is it partnered with? +

It is partnered with MK@Waterway, hosted at Waterway Primary School.

Is the partner-MK place guaranteed? +

Not automatically. An eligible Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident child enrolled at the EYC by 15 March of the N2 year, who registers through the EYC route during the MK Registration Exercise, may be offered a K1 place at a partner MK. It is conditional, not unconditional.

Must the child be a Singapore Citizen or PR? +

Yes. The partner-MK offer applies to SC and PR children who meet the enrolment and registration conditions.

Does the EYC itself give P1 Phase 2A priority? +

No. Phase 2A eligibility comes from the child actually attending the MOE Kindergarten, not from the earlier EYC enrolment on its own.

Does MK attendance guarantee P1 admission? +

No. Attending the host MK gives Phase 2A eligibility, which is priority to register earlier. If Phase 2A is oversubscribed, places are decided by citizenship and home-school distance, and a ballot may be held.

Can the child stay at the EYC for K1 and K2 instead? +

That depends on the centre's own programme. Some families stay in childcare through K1 and K2 rather than move to the MK. Weigh continuity, hours, fees and the Phase 2A pathway when deciding.
